Join Eccleston Brass Band
Join the Family
Eccleston Brass Band is more than just a musical ensemble; it is a community of musicians of all ages and backgrounds who maintain a long tradition of Brass music in our village, and share it throughout the country for others to enjoy. We are passionate about the music we create, and working together to achieve perfection.
Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned professional, we welcome you to join us. We offer a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone can learn and grow as musicians. The main band practices twice a week, on Tuesday night from 7.45 to 9.30pm and Friday night from 7.45 to 9.30 pm.
Eccleston Brass Band are fully self-funded by our events, and own our rehearsal rooms, instruments, and uniforms to reduce the burden on new members. We rehearse twice a week in central Eccleston, and perform regularly at concerts, competitions, and other events throughout the year. We also offer a junior training academy with separate rehearsals – more details below.
If you are interested in joining Eccleston Brass Band, please get in touch for a chat. We’re happy to answer any of your questions and schedule a time for you to come to a rehearsal for a brew and a chat.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Our junior training academy
To ensure the brass tradition continues in Eccleston, we offer access to our Junior Training Academy and free lessons at at Eccleston St. Mary’s Primary School. This service is fully funded by Eccleston Brass Band, and includes instruments.
Our current training academy has ten members, who are taught weekly by professional tutor and conductor Mark Waltho. Once they’ve mastered the basics, they can step up to our Training Academy rehearsals on a Tuesday and Friday, with the aim of progressing to the main band.
If your child is interested in joining our Junior Training Academy, please get in touch by sending your details using the form at the bottom of this page.
